Back on June 25th, the ladies of SNSD performed “The Great Escape” and “Mr. Taxi” on MTV’s Video Music Aid Japan. The event was held to benefit the Japanese Red Cross and the winners were to be announced at a later date. Well, the award winners from the event were finally announced on MTV Japan’s official website earlier today.
The girls were nominated in three categories including Best Group Video, Best Karaoke Song, and Video of the Year. SNSD won the awards for Best Group Video and Best Karaoke Song both for “Genie”, while the Video of the Year award went to LADY GAGA for “Born This Way“.
Congratulations to SNSD for this accomplishment.
